A totally independent company, we believe that our expertise in the quality control and processing of complex marine and land seismic projects is second to none. EPI is privately owned, having total independence from all other companies. This allows us to base all important decisions on integrity rather than commercial pressures and our clients can, therefore, be confident of our complete impartiality.

The quality service that we provide to our clients is attributable to the high calibre of our personnel. We consider we have some of the best consultants in the industry bringing a wealth of experience to the quality control of seismic data acquisition. This depth of knowledge extends to the provision of such services as QC supervisors, seismic processing, navigation services, software solutions and survey management.

EPI is a specialist in the quality control of 2D, 3D, 4D, 4C and OBC, marine and land surveys. Our experienced personnel together with our systems provide a complete tailored solution for modern seismic.

Quality Control Supervisory Services
Our entire team carries valid survival and medical certificates ready to travel worldwide at very short notice.

QC Supervisors
Several of our supervisors have over 30 years experience in the industry, most having attained the position of Party Chief or similar before moving to quality control. Our consultants have experience worldwide on the full range of seismic surveys, marine and land operations. All consultants are well grounded in both seismic and navigation. Two consultants working as a team are able to give full 24 hour coverage of both seismic and navigation when the survey is in acquisition stage. Our QC supervisors are provided with high specification PCs with the applications required to ensure fulfillment of their responsibilities. We operate an in-house integrated reporting and production system which is continually being developed to meet the demands of seismic operations. Our system gives the ability to track and analyse the day to day running of the operation from timing to HSE statistics.

Positioning Supervisors
A number of highly qualified and industry renowned positioning supervisors are available for projects worldwide ranging from rig moves, jacket positioning, pipe and cable laying and rock dumping.

Seismic Processing
EPI supplies consultants and systems as part of a package, or separately, for a wide variety of processing projects, land and marine.

Processing Specialists
A highly qualified team of processing staff consultants covers a very wide spectrum of experience. Processors are supplied for all types of land and marine data, in-house and in the field. Hands-on processors are available to operate ProMAX® and other field seismic processing systems in all types of environment.

Processing Systems
EPI owns both ProMAX® hardware and ProMAX® licenses which are available for short or long term rental, hardware only, license only, plotter rental, supplied for use in the field or office, with or without operators.

Software Solutions
EPI has an in house Software/IT team able to develop one-off bespoke applications and solutions at short notice, who can work in the field or client offices if required and who have extensive experience of handling and reformatting redundant data formats.

MultiStudio Suite
The MultiStudio QC Suite is a collection of tools which record and analyse navigation, performance and seismic attributes. The suite has been developed to help marine seismic acquisition QCs assess the quality of navigation, performance and seismic attributes. The primary objective being to ensure the acquisition crew obtains optimum performance from the survey equipment and ensure that the data files produced are of satisfactory quality, meeting industry standards and client requirements.

Navigation Services
Raw data is collected every shot and exported without filtering or adjusting into our own data base. This data is then analysed with the MultiPLOT QC suite during acquisition. This database can also be archived ashore (vessel communication allowing) giving a quick response to client or QC representative requests.
